Chef Mark slicing grass-fed topside to make wholesale Australian biltong

Most wholesale meat snacks are built to hit a price

Most wholesale meat snacks are heat-dried in a few hours and bulked out with sugar and soy, so they end up tough and taste more of marinade than meat. Customers buy them once, don't come back, and the stock sits on your shelf.

We built ours the other way round, and if you're comparing suppliers, here is what to check on any label.

Why businesses stock Aussie Biltong

  • Nearly 3kg of 100% Certified Australian grass-fed topside goes into every finished kilo, because topside is the lean cut that dries evenly. Why the cut matters.
  • Every batch is slow-dried for 7 to 14 days and flipped every few hours, rather than rushed through a dehydrator in an afternoon, then finely sliced for a soft chew. How slow-drying works.
  • It's a chef's recipe, not a factory formula, created by Chef Mark, who trained at the one-hatted Galileo and the two-hatted Rockpool Bar & Grill. Meet Chef Mark.
  • No sugar, low carb and no preservatives, made from 100% natural ingredients.
  • Around 30g of protein in every 50g serve, which is the number gym members, office teams and travellers look for on the pack.
  • Original and Paprika are the two flavours that sell, and our flavour guide explains why.

Built to your spec

Your shelf, minibar, vending spiral or catering tray already has a size, so your pouch should fit it.

  • Choose the gram weight: 50g single-serve packs for minibars and inflight trolleys, 100g and 250g pouches for retail, or 300g to 500g bulk packs for kitchens.
  • Choose the pouch dimensions to suit your shelf, display box or tray.
  • If you don't need anything custom, our standard resealable 250g pouches are ready to go.
  • Pricing is set by volume, so the more you order, the lower your price per kilo.

Who we supply

Resellers, retailers and food chains. It's a premium beef snack that earns its shelf space, and if you're briefing your staff, send them biltong vs jerky, explained.

Bottle shops. It's the counter snack that sells itself next to a cold six-pack, and biltong and beer pairing and biltong and wine pairing give customers the reason to add it.

Gyms and fitness studios. With around 30g of protein a serve, it sells at the front counter where members already buy shakes. See the high-protein snacks gym members actually want.

Butchers. It's a ready-to-sell, value-add line made from the same grass-fed beef your customers already trust you for.

Corporate offices and recruitment firms. Our biltong beats the office biscuit tin, and it goes into recruitment and client packs that people actually open. Biltong for the 3pm slump.

Caterers, corporate catering and airline catering. It works in inflight snack packs, catering packs, grazing boards, canapés and menu items, and your chefs can start with biltong pâté, bruschetta with biltong, biltong and cheese muffins and how to serve biltong.

Wholesale Aussie Biltong FAQ

Can you make custom pouch sizes?
Yes. Tell us the gram weight and pouch dimensions you need and we'll quote on that format, whether that's 50g single-serve packs, 100g or 250g retail pouches, or 300g to 500g kitchen packs.
How is wholesale pricing worked out?
By volume, pouch format and delivery, so the more you order, the lower your price per kilo. Send your numbers through the form and we'll quote within 1 business day.
How long does a wholesale order take?
Using our standard 250g pouches, a full order is usually prepped in 1.5 to 2.5 weeks. If you need a custom pouch size and gram weight, allow around 2 weeks more.
Do you supply businesses outside Australia?
We've filled wholesale and bulk-buy orders for customers in Malaysia and the United States, and for bottle and food chains in Hong Kong. Email hello@aussiebiltong.com.au with where your order is headed and we'll take it from there.
How long does it keep?
Unopened pouches have a shelf life of 6 months or more. For handling tips, see how to store biltong.
Can we taste it before ordering?
Yes. Order a 250g pouch online and try it with your team before you commit to a wholesale order.
Who makes it?
Chef Mark. He trained at the one-hatted Galileo and the two-hatted Rockpool Bar & Grill, and opened Ahgora Taverna in Leichhardt with his brother Jan. Aussie Biltong is the Australian biltong company built on his recipe, and every batch is made in Sydney.
